Turning Education Into Prevention
Project OpenWide is led by a six-member student board, who all share a common goal in providing oral education. Each member contributes a different perspective and skill set, but we work closely across every part of the organization. From researching educational content and designing resources to planning service projects and building community partnerships, our work is shaped through collaboration.

Hayden Tran
Chief of Internal Operations

​Coordinates the organization’s internal workflow by managing team operations, improving communication, and ensuring members, projects, and organizational goals stay on track.
Ethan Surjana
Chief of External Operations

Leads event planning and external outreach by coordinating partnerships, communicating with organizations and speakers, and managing collaborative opportunities.
Kenny Nguyen
Director of Community Impact

Manages the organization’s social media presence and public engagement by overseeing online content, audience interaction, and digital outreach initiatives.
Pearline Truong
Creative Director

Designs the organization’s visual content and branding, including graphics, promotional materials, social media assets, and creative layouts for events and initiatives.
Leyna Nguyen
Chapter Director
​
Oversees chapter development and supports local chapter activities by guiding members, coordinating chapter initiatives, and helping ensure each chapter aligns with the organization's missions and goals.
Tom Doan
International Outreach Lead

Leads the organization’s global outreach efforts by building international connections, coordinating cross-culture initiatives, and supporting partnerships and service opportunities abroad.

Official Mascot and Defender of Smiles

Represents Project OpenWide’s mission by helping make oral health education fun, welcoming, and engaging for children through presentations, activities, and creative outreach.
