Where does this come from?

We believe oral health education should be engaging, approachable, and easy for children to remember. Many children are not consistently taught proper brushing, flossing, and preventive dental habits, which is why Project OpenWide created an Oral Health Education Program centered on interactive learning. Through student-led presentations, virtual Zoom webinars, Weekly Bites, and Lil Henri Arts & Crafts, we teach oral health in ways that are creative, memorable, and accessible to the community. All of our educational outreach programs are completely free and designed to help children build confidence in caring for
their smiles.
Programs We Offer
01
In-Person Oral Health Presentations
Project OpenWide brings interactive oral health lessons directly to schools and community organizations. Through student-led presentations, demonstrations, and age-appropriate discussions, participants learn proper brushing and flossing techniques, how to maintain a healthy daily routine, and why preventive care matters. Each presentation is often followed by a Blooket review game to reinforce key ideas in a fun and memorable way.
02
Lil Henri Arts & Crafts
Lil Henri Arts & Crafts is a creative oral health activity that can be offered on its own or alongside one of our educational presentations. Students draw and design their own version of Lil Henri, Project OpenWide’s mascot, while exploring what healthy smiles and positive dental habits mean to them. By combining creativity with oral health education, the activity makes learning more enjoyable, personal, and memorable.
03
Virtual Oral Health Webinars
Our live Zoom webinars make Project OpenWide’s oral health education accessible to schools, organizations, and communities regardless of location. Participants learn practical oral-care habits through engaging visuals, demonstrations, and interactive discussion, with opportunities to answer questions and review what they learned. These virtual programs allow us to reach more communities while maintaining the same supportive and engaging approach as our in-person presentations.
04
Weekly Bites
Weekly Bites is Project OpenWide’s ongoing digital education series that makes oral health learning quick, engaging, and easy to remember. Each week, we alternate between Trivia Tuesday, where followers test their knowledge through interactive questions, and Fun Fact Friday, where we share interesting and practical oral health facts. By combining education with participation, Weekly Bites helps our online community learn something new and build greater awareness of healthy dental habits.
